The outset episode of the Daily Lives of High School Boys anime.

Introduction [ ]

Tadakuni runs out of his firm, tardily for school, with some toast in his mouth. While running, his inner monologue introduces himself as an ordinary male child leading an ordinary life. His friend Yoshitake joins him in a few moments, eating the previous night's leftover back-scratch from a bowl while running, which is plenty to startle Tadakuni. Past then, their friend Hidenori too catches up and admonishes Yoshitake, claiming that when running late for schoolhouse, 1 should only eat staff of life - while himself eating ramen out of a bowl using chopsticks. Tadakuni is flabbergasted.

When asked if something was wrong, Tadakuni is about to respond when an orange axle suddenly shoots down from the sky, followed by three Mobile Suit Gundams that jump down and showtime shooting, startling the iii. The Gundam in the middle notices the three high-schoolers and shoots a axle which explodes correct in forepart of them, sending them hurtling back. They and then notice a volume that lands in front of them, having exploded out of a box.

"Come, Mobile Suits!"

Tadakuni picks upward the book, and the three correctly estimate the title to be 'A Tale of Take chances'. All of a sudden, they modify costumes: Hidenori (in the eye) becomes a warrior, Yoshitake (to his right) becomes a fencer, and Tadakuni (to the left) becomes a female person mage[note one], with Hidenori claiming that they will be the opponents of the mobile suits.

Tadakuni so jumps in with a loud interjection and the scene changes to the boys sitting in his house, with Hidenori reading a book and Yoshitake playing on a DSi 40. The latter agrees with Tadakuni and asks Hidenori why he gets to be in the center, to Tadakuni says there are bigger problems. Hidenori so tells them both that he heard that Square Enix and Sunrise were doing a collaboration to make an anime nearly them. Tadakuni then responds that the anime is virtually everyday 'normal life', and that mobile suits and adventures don't come into it. Yoshitake then calls information technology irksome, and Tadakuni yells at them non to ignominy their own show.

High School Boys and After School [ ]

Tadakuni asks Hidenori and Yoshitake how to get a girlfriend. The two launch into a simulation correct abroad, in which Tadakuni meets a girl placing pamphlets on the desks after form while lonely, with Yoshitake acting as the girl. Tadakuni decides he might also take part. At a point when the awkwardness in the scene heightens, Hidenori bursts in. The simulation is alleged a success and Hidenori congratulates him, until Tadakuni points out that it was completely useless considering they report at an all-boys schoolhouse.

Intermission [ ]

Hidenori monotones that the show is brought to the viewers lazily by the following sponsors". Tadakuni interjects, telling him not to say 'lazily'. During this, a message is shown on-screen that reads "'Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijou' starts today. You don't actually take to remember the characters' names or anything".

Loftier School Boys and Skirts [ ]

Hidenori and Yoshitake are at Tadakuni'southward house, lounging effectually much to his annoyance. At his insistence, Hidenori is about to leave, simply stops at the door and all of a sudden asks Yoshitake what he thought of skirts. Hidenori and Yoshitake decide to put on the skirts, but end up cluelessly putting them over their heads at get-go. The two and so get into an argument about whether it's okay to show ane's leg hair. When Tadakuni intervenes and tells them to just get it over with, they label him a pervert for wanting to clothing a skirt that badly.

Eventually, the three end upwards going into dissimilar rooms to try on the skirts, with Tadakuni resigned to his fate. The trio are in Tadakuni's house, and Hidenori starts talking about something that happened to him. He says that he was once at an udon shop when a cute girl at the adjacent table finished eating, and left... and on her bowl were three chopsticks. This somehow freaks out the other ii, and they take it to be a scary story contest.

Yoshitake tells a story that is more painful than scary. He reminds the others of his 'well-known' business organization nearly nipple hair (which they're hearing of for the first time) and recollects how he thought he'd shave them off with his dad's razor. Nevertheless, an accident occurred, and he shows them a heavily bandaged left side of his chest, stunning them. He'd ended shaving off the entire nipple. Hidenori yells at him to seek medical aid.

Tadakuni then talks about the time he saw an acquaintance throw upwardly, and found a live centipede in the vomit. He tells the others that centipedes are unafraid of humans and might crawl into them during their slumber. Hearing this, Yoshitake and Hidenori are badly shaken. They get upwardly to go to the bathroom and throw upwards besides, merely to find Tadakuni'southward younger sister already vomiting there (she was eavesdropping on them). As the three are throwing upwardly and checking their vomit for centipedes, Tadakuni wonders how he's going to tell them that he made up the story.

High School Boys and Female Companions [ ]

Hidenori comes to class and finds out from Yoshitake that Tadakuni hadn't reached schoolhouse all the same. Wondering what could have happened, he looks out the window and sees Tadakuni walking with a girl, and ends up falling over in shock and alerting everyone.

As their classmates see this and wonder how Tadakuni managed it, some other student Motoharu (called a delinquent past the others) walks up to the window and sees the two. Analyzing aloud the mode they were walking and their body language, he assures the others that the two aren't going out, simply that it could soon change. They determine to take action.

Every bit Tadakuni and the girl approach the gate, the others gang up on them and Motoharu asks a confused Tadakuni to tell them who the girl is. At that moment, the daughter thank you Tadakuni, and he gives her further instructions to become to the station, making it clear that he was just giving her directions. The boys are embarrassed.

High School Boys and the Literary Girl [ ]

The Literary Girl is walking home while reading a volume, when she sees Hidenori lying on the river banking concern holding a volume upwards and reading. Hidenori realizes that reading past the river while waiting for his friends was a bad idea, equally the wind kept ruffling the pages. As he sits up he notices that the girl has sat downwardly behind him. A long silence ensues.

Hidenori is initially confused equally to why the girl sat next to him, but guesses that she might be hoping for a fantastical romantic encounter by the riverside. Sensing the heightening awkwardness of the situation, he says a somewhat poetic line about the air current, which he feels actually embarrassed nigh, only doesn't let testify. She responds with an equally outlandish phrase, thereby confirming his suspicions. A short preview of the side by side episode plays, with the bulletin "Next Time: High Schoolhouse Boys and the Morning Journey (and other sketches)". Hidenori announces that random stuff would exist coming upwardly next calendar week, before saying over again that the testify was brought to the viewers "lazily by the following sponsors".
